Services

Parking

There are two car parks just by the zoo. One is for coaches and for people in wheelchairs. The other is for cars, and camper vans can also stay there.

Facilities for young children

TAll our public toilets have facilities that can be used by “tinies”. They also have nappy-changing facilities. In the Sumatra restaurant there is a microwave oven that you can use to heat up your children’s meals. Finally, younger visitors will be delighted to end their visit by having a go in the bouncy castles and on the climbing frames in the large playground near the Krokus restaurant.

Disabled visitors

Most of the zoo is accessible for reduced mobility persons, except for two very steep paths which are shown by a notice, and for the footbridge over the road. Please ask our staff for assistance in using the footbridge. They will be happy to help you – they’re used to it!
Please contact us by telephone or e-mail if you want to come with a guide dog or an assistance dog. Our staff will prepare for your visit and make sure that they are ready to assist you while you are here.

Picnics

Picnics are allowed inside the zoo. There are several picnic shelters with seating for approximately 250 people. You can go in and out of the zoo as often as you like on the day of your visit, as long as you go to the ticket office and put a stamp on your hand before leaving.

Pets

For health and safety reasons, we are sorry that dogs, cats and other pets are not allowed in the zoo.
